Open WOFF File is a free online tool for opening, previewing and converting web font files. You can drop in a WOFF, WOFF2, TTF or OTF font and see it right away, read its details, browse every glyph and convert WOFF or WOFF2 to TTF or OTF.
Why we built it
Web fonts are everywhere, but computers do not know how to open them. Double-click a WOFF file on Windows or a Mac and nothing useful happens. Designers, developers and curious people kept running into the same problem, so we built a simple tool that solves it in a few seconds.
How it works
The tool runs in your web browser. When you open a font, your browser reads it on your own device. The font is not uploaded to our server, and we never see it. This keeps your files private, which matters when you work with paid fonts or client projects.
What you can do here
- Preview any WOFF, WOFF2, TTF or OTF font with your own text
- Read the font name, style, version, designer and license
- See every glyph, including icons in icon fonts
- Convert WOFF and WOFF2 files to TTF or OTF
- Learn more in our guides about WOFF files and web fonts
Free to use
The tool is free, with no sign-up and no limit on how many fonts you open. We may show ads or links to useful products in the future to cover the cost of running the site. If we do, the tool will stay free.
